People Operations Manager

About the role

bunch is building the backbone of private markets and needs a People Operations Manager to own the operational and data backbone for its growing international workforce. You will streamline onboarding, payroll and compliance while driving automation across HR systems.

Key responsibilities

• Take end‑to‑end ownership of onboarding, offboarding, contracts, leaves, payroll and immigration cases.
• Design and roll out automated, AI‑supported workflows and integrations across Personio, Notion and other tools.
• Coordinate monthly payroll for Germany, the UK, the Netherlands and upcoming Luxembourg, managing data accuracy and provider relationships.
• Maintain the compliance calendar, work with external counsel and ensure documentation for employment‑law requirements.
• Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions on policy, contracts, leave and benefits, moving answers to self‑service.

Required profile

• 4+ years of People Operations or HR administration experience in a fast‑growing, international startup.
• Proven track record of automating HR processes and building reliable workflow integrations.
• Strong data literacy and ability to produce trustworthy HR reports.
• Experience supporting a diverse workforce across multiple legal entities and contract types.
• Knowledge of German employment law; familiarity with UK or Luxembourg law is a plus.

Required skills

• Personio (or comparable HRIS) configuration and maintenance.
• Notion integration and workflow automation.
• Design and implementation of AI‑supported HR solutions.
• Data analysis and reporting for headcount, attrition and hiring metrics.
• Payroll coordination with external providers in European countries.
