Principal Product Manager, Growth Platform

About the role

As Principal Product Manager you will lead the growth platform for Lounge by Zalando, shaping the marketing‑technology stack that powers personalized campaigns for millions of users across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the product strategy for data hubs, messaging infrastructure, automation services and AI‑driven marketing agents.
• Drive the transition to an autonomous marketing engine with real‑time triggers, evaluation pipelines and incrementality measurement.
• Partner with Principal Engineers on architecture decisions, APIs, event streams and data models, translating technical trade‑offs for commercial leadership.
• Ensure GDPR‑compliant personalization and messaging by design.
• Mentor product managers and raise the technical fluency of the product organisation.

Required profile

• Deep hands‑on experience with modern marketing technology (ESP/CRM platforms such as Braze, customer data platforms, campaign automation and server‑side tracking).
• Proven track record managing marketing or data platforms as products, turning infrastructure into roadmaps.
• Experience shipping LLM‑ or ML‑powered products to production and managing evaluation, guardrails and observability.
• Strong experimentation rigor with hypothesis‑driven development, A/B testing at scale and KPI‑driven prioritisation.
