Principal Software Engineer (TypeScript, Backend‑Heavy)

About the role

Rematiq is building the first AI‑native platform for automated product compliance in MedTech. As a Principal Software Engineer, Platform, you will design and implement the services, workflows, and developer‑facing APIs that power our AI requirements engine and compliance pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Shape the technical roadmap in partnership with product and founders.
• Lead architectural decisions for backend services, ensuring security, extensibility, and regulatory compliance.
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable web applications and APIs, with occasional contributions to React front‑ends.
• Resolve complex engineering challenges, improve practices, and uphold quality and security standards.
• Collaborate with machine‑learning, product, and design teams to deliver customer‑centric solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience solving production‑scale problems such as scaling bottlenecks and reliability issues.
• Strong TypeScript and Node.js backend expertise in large codebases.
• Solid PostgreSQL knowledge, including data modelling, migrations, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with distributed patterns like event‑driven communication or workflow engines.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes and at least one major cloud provider (Azure a plus).
• Backend‑heavy full‑stack comfort with the ability to contribute to React when needed.
• Commitment to high‑quality, well‑tested code in compliance‑heavy environments.
