Private Equity Analyst – Expansion Capital (Frankfurt)

About the role

We are a leading European mid‑market private equity investor seeking a Private Equity Analyst to join our Expansion Capital team in Frankfurt. The position offers a junior professional the chance to develop a well‑rounded investment skill set within a small, highly engaged team, with hands‑on training from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Support the evaluation and execution of minority and buy‑out investments in profitable, growth‑oriented businesses.
• Build and analyse financial models, investment cases and downside scenarios.
• Assist with commercial, financial and operational due diligence processes.
• Prepare investment committee materials and presentations.
• Collaborate closely with senior team members across deal execution and portfolio management.

Required profile

• Approximately 2 years of experience in investment banking, M&A, leveraged finance or a related area.
• Strong execution focus and exposure to transaction work.
• Analytical, intellectually curious and commercially minded.
• Self‑starter with a strong work ethic and a genuine interest in becoming an investor.

Required skills

• Excellent financial analysis and modelling capabilities.
