Private Equity Junior Associate – Infrastructure/Industrials

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Associate to join the Infrastructure Investment Team of a leading European private‑markets platform. This position offers a fast‑track transition from investment banking to the buy‑side, working on primary, secondary and co‑investment opportunities across the infrastructure sector.

Key responsibilities

• Support the full investment lifecycle, from sourcing and screening to due diligence, execution and portfolio monitoring.
• Analyse infrastructure funds and direct/co‑investment opportunities across Europe and OECD markets.
• Build and review financial models (DCF, LBO, project/asset models) and perform return analyses.
• Prepare investment committee materials, including memos, presentations and supporting analysis.
• Contribute to portfolio construction, performance tracking and reporting.
• Assist with fundraising, client communication and sector tracking (energy transition, transport, digital, utilities, social infrastructure).

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in M&A or investment banking.
• Strong academic background and excellent communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive and fluent in English; German language proficiency is required.
• Interest in infrastructure and real‑asset investing.
