Procurement Assistant – Nutrition & Food

About the role

You will support the procurement team for the protein category of a fast‑growing sports nutrition brand. Working closely with suppliers, logistics, product development and quality management, you will help ensure a reliable, efficient and cost‑effective supply chain for raw materials and supplement ingredients.

Key responsibilities

• Support operational purchasing of protein raw materials and supplement ingredients.
• Communicate with national and international suppliers, request and compare quotations.
• Maintain purchasing, supplier and product data in the ERP system.
• Assist with price negotiations and purchase order processing.
• Monitor delivery timelines and coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams.
• Conduct market and competitor analyses.
• Prepare reports, analyses and decision‑making documents for the procurement team.
• Contribute to the optimisation of procurement and supply‑chain processes.

Required profile

• First experience in procurement, purchasing, supply‑chain or a commercial role.
• Interest in raw materials, nutrition, supplements and the fitness industry.
• Structured, reliable and organised working style.
• Strong communication skills and confidence when dealing with suppliers.
• Analytical mindset with an affinity for numbers.

Required skills

• Good Excel skills.
• Experience with an ERP system.
• Proficiency with digital tools.
• Good written and spoken English.
