Product Designer – Collaboration Platform (all genders)

About the role

Universal Music’s Beats & Bytes team is looking for a Product Designer to shape an internal collaboration platform used across the group. You will join the Design & Insights team in Berlin and work on a full‑time, two‑year fixed‑term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Design an internal tool that supports planning, managing and collaborating on music releases.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, researchers and senior designers to understand user needs and define problems.
• Lead the full design process: map workflows, explore concepts, prototype, test with users and deliver high‑quality designs for implementation.
• Contribute to and evolve the design language ecosystem, ensuring consistency and scalability across platforms.
• Explore and apply AI tools to improve design, research and collaboration workflows.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience designing digital products, preferably internal tools, SaaS or complex workflows.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating product thinking, interaction design and visual craftsmanship.
• Excellent command of interface design, layout, typography, information architecture and interaction patterns.
• Experience working with design systems and contributing improvements.
• Interest in AI and staying up‑to‑date with AI‑driven design tools.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.
