Professorship in Business Administration (Campus)

About the role

The University seeks a dedicated professor to join the Business Administration degree program at its Cologne campus. Starting 1 October 2026, the role involves delivering high‑quality, practice‑oriented teaching and contributing to research in a dynamic, student‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver face‑to‑face lectures and seminars in Business Administration.
• Supervise students during examinations and guide thesis projects.
• Develop and refine innovative teaching formats in line with IU’s didactic concept.
• Maintain an active research profile and publish in relevant journals or project reports.
• Collaborate with faculty and administrative staff to enhance the programme’s quality.

Required profile

• Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Business Administration or a closely related discipline with outstanding academic performance.
• Minimum five years of professional experience, including at least three years outside academia.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at university level (preferred) and a record of scholarly publications or projects.
• Strong team orientation, reliability, and commitment to on‑site teaching while being proficient in virtual delivery.
• Permanent residence in Germany and English language proficiency at CEFR C1 level.
