Project Manager – Construction Projects in Düsseldorf

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a diverse portfolio of building and construction projects across the Düsseldorf region. You will be responsible for delivering projects from planning through handover while supporting site management and construction supervision activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage construction projects through all phases, from design coordination to final handover.
• Serve as the primary contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate schedules, resources, and delivery activities to achieve programme, quality, cost, and stakeholder objectives.
• Support site supervision, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with German building regulations and health‑safety standards.
• Review contractor performance, progress reports, and construction documentation.
• Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and manage issues as they arise.
• Assist with tendering, procurement, and contract administration when required.
• Conduct site inspections, progress meetings, snagging activities, and final handovers.
• Prepare and present project updates, reports, and performance metrics to clients and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Several years of experience delivering building construction projects in Germany.
• Proven project‑management experience combined with site‑management or construction‑supervision responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of German construction regulations, permitting processes and delivery requirements.
• Experience in consultancy, contractor or client‑side environments.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder‑management and organisational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple project priorities simultaneously.
