Project Manager – Defence Projects

About the role

As a Project Manager at NAXCON GmbH you will lead defence‑related engineering projects from inception to completion. Based in Kiel, you will coordinate cross‑functional teams, manage budgets, and ensure delivery of high‑quality solutions for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and monitor quotations and project budgets.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, manuals and stakeholder analyses.
• Conduct opportunity and risk assessments, resource planning and coordination with specialist departments.
• Manage system profiles, access rights, and database configurations for each project.
• Control project costs, perform monthly cost‑to‑completion calculations and monitor hour usage.
• Lead project kick‑off, review and completion meetings, and prepare final reports.
• Coordinate work orders, correspond with internal/external specialists, subcontractors and clients.
• Prepare and verify delivery notes and manage UAN documentation.

Required profile

• Degree or vocational qualification with further training as a technician in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a comparable discipline.
• Professional experience in project management, preferably in ILS and defence technology.
• Fluent English (EFSET Level C1) and German (at least C1 or native).
