Project Manager (m/f/d) – Engineering Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex engineering projects for one of our clients. The role combines technical depth with commercial accountability and serves as the primary interface between development teams, customers, and internal stakeholders. You will operate in a highly regulated, quality‑driven environment, ensuring projects are delivered on scope, budget, timeline, and quality targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end execution of complex engineering projects and own successful delivery.
• Manage scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and quality standards in line with business objectives.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams across Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing and other key functions.
• Act as the main interface for customers and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee external development partners and support technical decision‑making.
• Provide transparent reporting and present progress, risks, and milestones to senior management and customers.
• Apply structured project governance, stakeholder and risk management according to IPMA methodology.
• Support technical aspects of contract execution and customer negotiations.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent technical background.
• Several years of experience managing complex engineering projects with technical and commercial responsibility.
• Proven track record in highly regulated or quality‑critical environments (e.g., energy, aerospace, defence, automotive, medical technology).
• IPMA certification and hands‑on experience with IPMA standards.
• Fluent German and English (spoken and written).
