Robotics Field Technician

About the role

As a Robotics Field Technician you will travel across Europe, the UK and the Middle East to install, commission and support August Robotics’ application‑specific robots on customer sites. You will act as the technical bridge between engineering, operations and customers, ensuring that each deployment runs smoothly and that robots perform reliably in real‑world environments.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, operate and configure robotic systems at customer locations.
• Provide on‑site technical support, troubleshooting and guidance to clients and partners.
• Diagnose, maintain and repair hardware and software components to keep robots operational.
• Monitor robot performance, identify issues proactively and work with engineering to resolve complex problems.
• Collect customer feedback and collaborate with internal teams to improve product features.
• Support additional field operations and technical initiatives as needed.

Required profile

• Technical or mechanical background with a university degree or vocational diploma in Engineering, Mechanics or a related field.
• Eligibility to work in Germany and a valid driver’s licence.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; willingness to travel up to three weeks per month.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude, hands‑on mindset and high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Basic programming knowledge.
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
• Understanding of control systems.
