Robotics Software Engineer – R&D

About the role

Amazon Robotics is looking for a passionate software engineer to design, prototype, integrate, test, and launch robotic applications across its fulfillment network. You will work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment, partnering with applied scientists, project managers, and global teams to bring innovative automation solutions to life.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy end‑to‑end robotic software for Amazon fulfillment centers.
• Participate in all phases of development, from concept and architecture to production implementation and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with hardware, operations, and research teams worldwide to ensure seamless integration.
• Contribute to software design reviews, code quality standards, and best‑practice documentation.
• Maintain and improve core infrastructure and tools that support roboticists, machine‑learning scientists, and other engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Professional experience programming in at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C#.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, full development life‑cycle, and Linux development environments.
• Experience with multithreading, concurrency, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl).
• Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional, global teams.
