Senior Accountant – Frankfurt

About the role

We are a fast‑growing telecom company looking for a proactive Senior Accountant to join our German entity. Reporting to the CFO, you will lead day‑to‑day accounting operations and support the finance team in a dynamic, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, approve journal entries and accruals.
• Ensure timely month‑end and year‑end close in line with HGB and IFRS standards.
• Prepare management accounts, variance analysis, and group reporting packages.
• Handle VAT and corporation tax filings, and produce statutory financial statements for the German entity.
• Coordinate with the Group Reporting Manager, external auditors, tax advisers and authorities.
• Manage cash flow monitoring, forecasting and liquidity.
• Oversee payment runs and support annual audit processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or Finance, or a professional accounting qualification.
• Minimum five years of accounting experience in Germany, preferably within a multinational company.
• Strong knowledge of HGB, IFRS and German tax regulations.
• Experience managing an accounting team and working with Big‑10 audit firms.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
