Senior Accountant – High-Growth SaaS

About the role

We are a well‑funded, fast‑scaling SaaS company seeking a Senior Accountant to join a lean finance team. The position is hands‑on, offering real ownership over month‑end and year‑end close processes, VAT filings, and finance‑function improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage monthly and annual close under HGB, including accruals, deferrals, depreciation and reclassifications.
• Prepare consolidated monthly financial statements.
• Handle VAT filings (Umsatzsteuervoranmeldung) and multi‑entity tax compliance.
• Perform sub‑ledger reconciliations for payroll, vendors, customers and fixed assets.
• Drive AR process improvements and support AP compliance.
• Provide audit support for internal and external auditors.

Required profile

• Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK) or equivalent accounting qualification.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience with solid month‑end/year‑end close exposure.
• Fluent German and English; Spanish a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite a plus) and awareness of IFRS/US‑GAAP.
• Structured, detail‑oriented and comfortable in a fast‑moving environment.
