Senior AI Vertical Mini-Series Director

About the role

We are seeking a Senior AI Vertical Mini-Series Director to lead the creation of short‑form vertical dramas powered by generative AI. Based in Germany and working fully remotely, you will own the end‑to‑end production of serialized mini‑dramas for global mobile‑first audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Own and direct 1‑2 vertical mini‑series simultaneously (10‑15 episodes each) while ensuring narrative cohesion and high audience retention.
• Develop scripts and story structures with strong hooks, pacing, and cliffhangers tailored for short‑form viewing.
• Direct, edit, and finalize episodes end‑to‑end, maintaining full creative control over storytelling quality.
• Utilize AI production tools and internal copilots for character consistency, casting, and content generation.
• Collaborate with AI specialists, engineers, and creative teams to iterate on output and improve production efficiency.
• Experiment with AI‑driven video generation workflows to boost speed, quality, and scalability.
• Ensure each series meets performance, engagement, and storytelling benchmarks across distribution platforms.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience directing, showrunning, or producing short‑form narrative video or serialized digital content.
• Proven storytelling expertise with ability to craft engaging hooks, episodic tension, and fast‑paced narrative arcs.
• Hands‑on experience in video editing and end‑to‑end content production.
• Familiarity with vertical video formats and digital‑first storytelling platforms.
• Exposure to AI video or creative tools (e.g., Runway, Sora, Kling, Veo, Pika, Seedance) and willingness to upskill rapidly.
• Strong creative intuition combined with a structured, execution‑oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English.
• Highly autonomous, comfortable in an experimental, high‑velocity environment.
