Senior Android Engineer – Consumer Mobile Platform

About the role

Wolt is looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join the Consumer Mobile Platform team. You will help shape the foundation of the consumer‑facing apps used by millions across more than 20 countries, while working in a tech hub such as Helsinki, Stockholm, Tallinn or Berlin.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain the core Android platform that powers Wolt’s consumer apps.
• Enable product teams by providing a robust, observable, and extensible architecture.
• Drive technical initiatives that raise engineering excellence and improve developer experience.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to align on long‑term product health and quality.
• Integrate AI‑assisted developer workflows and create tooling/guardrails for AI assistants.
• Measure and ensure reliability of AI‑generated outputs through testing and observability policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Android development and deep understanding of the Android ecosystem.
• Strong interest in building maintainable and extensible platforms.
• Solid grasp of end‑to‑end system design.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to lead initiatives across engineering and product teams.
