Senior Backend Engineer – Hybrid

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Platform Engineering team of a leading cloud software company. You will design and build the internal platform that powers the entire engineering organisation, delivering infrastructure, tooling and developer experiences that accelerate product delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Internal Developer Platform, including DSL, compiler and runtime components.
• Build platform infrastructure, product services, CI/CD pipelines, observability solutions and developer tooling.
• Implement AI‑enabled engineering workflows and tooling to boost productivity.
• Provide reusable systems and services used across multiple product teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years of backend development experience with a strong focus on software architecture and system design.
• Proven ability to design, implement and operate scalable APIs and backend services.
• Ownership mindset from design through production deployment.
• Interest in AI‑assisted development and engineering productivity.

Required skills

• Kubernetes and production‑grade environment experience.
• CI/CD, observability, and developer tooling.
• Programming languages: PHP, Kotlin, Rust.
• Databases and monitoring: MongoDB, Grafana.
• Automation tools: Jenkins.
• Experience with LLM integration or agentic workflows.
