Senior Backend Engineer

About the role

Join GLS/NXT as a Senior Backend Engineer to help shape the future of out‑of‑home delivery. You will work on the OOH Platform, a scalable system that enables carriers across multiple countries to deploy, manage and optimise parcel locker networks. The role combines startup energy with enterprise scale, offering end‑to‑end ownership of high‑quality backend services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain server‑side applications with a focus on performance, scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define, design and ship new features.
• Drive best practices in code quality, security and testing throughout the development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot, debug and proactively upgrade existing software systems.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging technologies and industry trends to foster continuous innovation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of proven experience as a Backend Engineer in a cross‑functional team.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work in an Agile environment and deliver incremental value.

• Cloud services, preferably AWS
