Senior Capex Project Manager – Pharmaceutical & Biotech

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Capex Project Manager to lead pharmaceutical and biotech facility projects from design through execution. The role combines a strong engineering background with proven experience delivering complex GMP‑compliant facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engineering and design projects, managing scope, cost, schedule and quality.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across engineering, design, project controls and CQV.
• Develop and maintain execution plans, detailed schedules, budgets and resource allocations.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks, handle scope changes and provide regular commercial updates.
• Support proposals, pre‑bid meetings and client development activities.
• Oversee consultants, vendors and project partners to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Ensure safe delivery in compliance with GMP, quality standards and client expectations.

Required profile

• 10+ years of project management experience in pharmaceutical, biotech or other regulated facilities.
• Background in engineering, architecture, design management or technical project delivery.
• Proven experience managing GMP facility design or engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of scope, cost, schedule, risk and client management.
• Fluent in English and German.
• PMP or equivalent certification is advantageous.
