Senior Corporate Communications Manager, DACH & CEE

About the role

Airbnb is seeking a Senior Corporate Communications Manager to lead communications for its DACH and CEE markets. Based in Berlin, you will shape and execute the communications strategy across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Central‑Eastern Europe, helping to tell Airbnb’s story of trust and belonging while navigating complex regulatory environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement proactive corporate and policy communications strategies in partnership with policy, legal, marketing and partnership teams.
• Manage the press office, handling reactive media enquiries and delivering strategic messaging on tight deadlines.
• Build and maintain relationships with key journalists and editors in the German media landscape.
• Lead agency partnerships and set strategic direction for external communications suppliers.
• Drive campaigns that address overtourism challenges and position Airbnb as a responsible community actor.
• Protect the business by communicating commitments to community trust, responsible hosting and policy concerns.

Required profile

• Proven experience in corporate, policy or public‑relations communications, preferably in a fast‑paced, multinational environment.
• Deep understanding of the German regulatory landscape for short‑term rentals, housing policy and taxation.
• Strong narrative‑building skills with the ability to anticipate issues and manage crises.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
• Ability to collaborate across functions and geographies, influencing stakeholders in EMEA and the US.
