Senior Director / CTO – eMobility

About the role

As the CTO for eMobility, you will lead TE Connectivity’s global technology strategy for the E‑Mobility value driver. Reporting to the AutoX leadership team, you will shape the roadmap, drive engineering productivity and ensure the successful integration of new technologies across all regions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the global eMobility technology and platform roadmap (Horizon 2 & 3) in collaboration with product management, operations and regional CTOs.
• Drive Horizon 2/3 product development using agile, business‑focused methods, including external partnerships and advanced research.
• Increase engineering productivity by 30% over five years through standardisation, modular platforms and AI‑enabled tools.
• Harmonise toolchains, set service level agreements, and institutionalise the D4 delivery approach (Discover, Design, Deliver, Decide).
• Lead the Tech Leadership Council, Garage Board and quarterly business reviews to align portfolio intake and prioritisation.
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to ensure design‑for‑manufacturing, automation readiness and scalability.
• Build a high‑trust, startup‑mindset team and optimise global presence, including in China.

Required profile

• Hands‑on system‑level experience with eMobility interconnect and protection technologies.
• Proven track record of leading global technology roadmaps and delivering complex hardware projects.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to balance innovation and profitability.
• Experience managing cross‑regional R&D teams and external partnerships.

Required skills

• High‑Voltage Interconnects (HVIC) and HV connectors, terminals, busbars.
• Charging standards (AC/DC), mechanical and electrical interfaces, sealing and durability.
• Battery protection concepts, safety architectures and standards compliance.
• Battery connectivity – cell‑to‑pack and pack‑to‑vehicle signal and power distribution.
• AI tools for engineering productivity and platform reuse.
