Senior Financial Controller – Munich

About the role

Westfalia Fruit is seeking a Senior Financial Controller to join its Munich team. You will safeguard the financial integrity of a global avocado and fresh‑produce business, ensuring compliance with German GAAP and IFRS while providing insight for strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in line with HGB and IFRS.
• Develop short‑ and long‑term financial forecasts and liquidity plans.
• Improve product contribution margin calculations and profitability analysis.
• Collaborate with accounting, operations and cross‑functional teams to ensure data accuracy.
• Monitor and analyse annual budgets, performance of customers, products and sales channels.
• Deliver actionable financial insights to support profitability improvement.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and implement cost‑saving measures.
• Develop and manage import evaluation and inventory analysis frameworks.
• Contribute to ad‑hoc finance projects and continuous improvement of financial systems.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field, preferably with a focus on Controlling.
• Hands‑on, detail‑oriented approach with ability to analyse complex data.
• Solid experience in financial planning, forecasting, KPI analysis and performance management.
• Experience in product costing and cost‑control initiatives.
• Good understanding of cash‑flow management and core financial processes.
