Senior Global O2C Finance Process Owner

About the role

As a Senior Specialist Global Functional Process Owner for Order-to-Cash (O2C) Finance, you will lead the end‑to‑end O2C processes across BASF's Coatings division. You will shape the newly created finance organization, ensuring global standards, efficiency, and alignment with strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve global O2C Finance processes, including Customer Master Data, Invoicing, Billing, Cash Applications, Collections, Dunning and Accounts Receivable Management.
• Establish and maintain global standards that meet regulatory requirements and business goals.
• Identify and drive process‑improvement initiatives, leveraging digital solutions and automation.
• Manage a third‑party business‑process provider, define KPIs and monitor performance.
• Collaborate with related functions such as Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) and Business‑to‑Revenue (B2R) to ensure holistic financial process alignment.
• Engage internal stakeholders to align O2C processes with business needs and strategic direction.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field; CMA or CPA certification is a plus.
• At least 10 years of experience in financial process management and O2C optimization within a multinational corporation.
• Experience in the chemicals industry or similar sectors, especially during transitions or carve‑outs.
• Strong understanding of O2C processes and optimization methodologies.
