Senior Hardware Testing Engineer – Robotics

About the role

RobCo is building autonomous industrial robotics and needs a senior hardware testing engineer to create and own the validation framework that guarantees safety and performance of its manufacturing platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Define testing standards and act as technical authority for hardware‑control integration milestones.
• Perform cross‑layer debugging using oscilloscopes, log parsers and other instrumentation.
• Conduct stress, margin, negative‑fault and load‑cycling tests to map performance envelopes.
• Maintain traceability and regression tracking across firmware updates and field observations.
• Serve as gatekeeper at review gates, providing data‑driven go/no‑go decisions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of system integration, test or validation engineering in robotics, automotive or aerospace.
• Strong Python programming (pandas, numpy, pytest) for test automation and data analysis.
• Solid understanding of servo loops, motor characterization and encoder behavior.
• Experience with industrial communication protocols such as EtherCAT, CAN and TCP/IP.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings and communicate risks to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.
