Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

Our client, a dynamic international company, is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to support commercial operations in Germany. The role combines high‑level legal advisory with hands‑on contract work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Advise sales, management and business units on B2B commercial legal matters.
• Draft, review and negotiate complex sales, services and works contracts, including infrastructure and public‑sector projects.
• Align legal requirements with business objectives to deliver practical, commercially sound solutions.
• Ensure compliance with competition, antitrust, trade and data‑protection regulations.
• Assess legal and commercial risks and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
• Represent the legal function internally and externally, leading negotiations with third parties.
• Manage and coordinate litigation, arbitration and disputes together with external counsel.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with full legal training (e.g., two state exams or equivalent).
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in an international company.
• Strong expertise in commercial and contract law (B2B) and solid knowledge of public procurement, competition and regulatory frameworks.
• Good understanding of industrial/business operations and technical products.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Team‑oriented, proactive and willing to travel occasionally.
