Senior Project Manager

About the role

The Cumming Group is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead small to medium‑size construction projects and support larger programmes across our global portfolio. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage small to medium‑sized projects with minimal supervision.
• Support larger projects, programmes, bids, and strategic initiatives.
• Assist with contract administration, tender evaluation, and procurement.
• Support risk and value management, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality assurance, and client governance requirements.
• Mentor junior team members and begin developing their skills.
• Develop project programmes and coordinate stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong client‑facing delivery and communication skills.
• Ability to manage complexity, competing priorities, and change.
• Commercial awareness and understanding of contract management.
• Emerging leadership skills, including mentoring and team coordination.
• High integrity, resilience, and a proactive, problem‑solving mindset.

Required skills

• Degree‑qualified or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of the construction industry.
• Project management qualifications such as PRINCE2, RICS, or MAPM (desirable).
• Experience across the full project lifecycle and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
