Senior Python Engineer

About the role

Peec AI is building an analytics platform that reveals brand visibility across AI‑driven search assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Google’s AI Overviews. As a Senior Python Engineer you will own complex backend systems that power this platform, delivering high‑performance, scalable APIs for marketing, SEO and growth teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain robust, scalable APIs and distributed systems using Python and FastAPI.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery of backend features, from architecture and scoping to reliable production deployment.
• Collaborate with product, frontend and design teams to translate ideas into well‑architected solutions.
• Drive innovation in backend technologies, improving performance, reliability and developer experience.
• Contribute to backend architecture, infrastructure and tooling to support rapid iteration at scale.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience, preferably in fast‑paced startups.
• Deep expertise in Python and FastAPI with a track record of building production systems.
• Strong experience designing REST, GraphQL or gRPC APIs.
• Proficiency with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization.
• Familiarity with cloud‑native architectures on GCP (Cloud Functions, Cloud Tasks, Firestore).
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code.
