Senior SAR Algorithm Engineer – Data Analysis & Exploitation

About the role

TerraLens is seeking a senior engineer to design and implement algorithms that turn Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellite data into actionable intelligence. You will work directly with raw SAR products, including Single Look Complex (SLC) data, to support political, strategic and tactical decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise SAR signal and image processing algorithms for operational use.
• Translate customer and product requirements into robust SAR exploitation workflows.
• Collaborate with internal engineering, product, and domain experts to integrate algorithms into TerraLens software.
• Provide technical guidance for customer‑specific SAR exploitation challenges.
• Stay current with advances in SAR technology and incorporate relevant innovations.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with SAR data, image formation and signal processing.
• Strong understanding of SAR mission data formats, especially SLC.
• Excellent English communication skills; German is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex algorithmic solutions.
