Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Keyfactor is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its Aachen office. You will help build and maintain secure software that protects cryptographic identities for large enterprises and government agencies. The role follows a hybrid work model with flexible hours.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain new software features and functionalities.
• Conduct code reviews, manage pull requests, and enforce coding standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, QA, and cross‑functional teams to solve complex problems.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and technical issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process improvements.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and support internal and external product issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Significant experience in software engineering, preferably in security‑focused environments.
• Ability to lead complex projects, mentor team members, and drive technical improvements.
