Senior Software Engineer – Medical Devices

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Surgical R&D team in Teltow, Germany. You will develop innovative software for WaveLight and VARION medical devices, contributing to eye‑care solutions that improve patients’ quality of life.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain and enhance Windows‑based applications using C# and C++.
• Collaborate with local and global engineering teams to deliver software for WaveLight and VARION products.
• Participate in the full software lifecycle – design, implementation, testing, debugging and release.
• Work with Qt frameworks and contribute to software architecture discussions.
• Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements in a medical‑device environment.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 7 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C# and C++.
• Experience developing Windows applications; Qt experience is a plus.
• Background in the medical‑device or other regulated industry is advantageous.
• Fluent English; German language skills are preferred.
