Senior Software Engineer – Production Systems

About the role

tonies is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to lead the development and maintenance of its Manufacturing Data Platform. The role is fully remote within Germany and focuses on ensuring reliable data exchange between internal systems and manufacturing operations, supporting 24/7 production uptime.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement robust data exchange pipelines between manufacturing systems.
• Develop and maintain core manufacturing database features and integrations.
• Build and operate system monitoring and observability solutions.
• Ensure ERP synchronization and accurate data flow across production systems.
• Support integration with analytics platforms and manage historical data migration.
• Optimize system performance and reliability to guarantee continuous operation.
• Provide technical consultation on data-related topics and system integrations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years of software development experience, primarily with Python and Django.
• Extensive experience with AWS services and cloud architecture.
• Proven track record designing and delivering large‑scale, reliable production systems.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
