Senior Software Engineer – Property Management Platform

About the role

Avento is building a modern, vertically integrated property‑management platform in Munich. As the second engineer on the product team you will work directly with the founder/technical lead to shape the product, make architectural decisions and own features from concept to production.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse user requirements and translate them into data models, APIs and system architecture.
• Design and implement core SaaS features for the property‑management platform.
• Develop tooling to migrate acquired companies onto the new platform.
• Collaborate with AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code) to boost productivity.
• Iterate on solutions by discussing requirements, exploring alternatives and deciding what to build or skip.

Required profile

• Strong curiosity about product goals and the “why” behind features.
• Proven experience building robust SaaS applications.
• Comfortable designing and owning both frontend and backend systems, including infrastructure.
• Ability to evaluate output from AI coding tools.
• Fluent German to work with legal concepts and operational staff.

Required skills

• Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem.
• React and TypeScript.
• Terraform.
• Azure or AWS cloud services.
• AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code) as productivity aids.
