Senior Specialist – Value Creation Initiatives

About the role

As a Senior Specialist in Value Creation Initiatives, you will join a newly formed business unit within the Coatings division. You will help design, coordinate and track strategic initiatives that drive financial value, ensuring transparency of impact on profit and loss, cash flow and balance sheet.

Key responsibilities

• Support the design, coordination and monitoring of company‑wide value‑creation initiatives.
• Consolidate, analyse and review business cases with initiative owners, validating baselines and target ambitions.
• Translate operational measures into financial impact and integrate them into P&L, cash‑flow and balance‑sheet reporting.
• Prepare dashboard‑driven management reports and steering‑committee materials for senior leadership.
• Align initiative tracking with financial planning, forecasting and budgeting to avoid double counting.
• Conduct ad‑hoc analyses and develop decision papers on scope, prioritisation and resource allocation.
• Continuously improve tools, methodologies and governance standards for strategic‑initiative planning and reporting.

Required profile

• University degree in finance, controlling, business administration, economics, industrial engineering or a related field.
• Several years of professional experience in controlling, FP&A or a comparable finance function within a multinational corporation.
• Strong analytical mindset, hands‑on approach and proven experience in business‑case development and KPI tracking.
• Experience in the chemicals industry or in business‑transition projects is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP.
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau or SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
