Senior Technical Support Engineer – Simulation (EMEA)

About the role

As a Senior Technical Support Engineer – Simulation you will help leading process‑industry companies across EMEA get the most out of AVEVA’s simulation portfolio. Based in Frankfurt (hybrid), you will act as a trusted technical advisor, solving complex issues, delivering training and supporting pre‑sales activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day support for AVEVA Process Simulation, PRO/II and Dynamic Simulation, owning cases from intake to resolution.
• Build trusted relationships with customers by understanding their business objectives and identifying opportunities to increase value.
• Lead complex troubleshooting, reproduce issues, perform root‑cause analysis and work with Product Management and R&D to drive improvements.
• Deliver remote and on‑site training courses, workshops and technical presentations across the EMEA region.
• Support software evaluations, proof‑of‑concept and pre‑sales engagements by demonstrating simulation capabilities.
• Create and maintain technical knowledge articles, best‑practice guides and customer‑facing documentation.

Required profile

• Experienced engineer in chemical, process or related fields with a strong technical background.
• Proven ability to solve complex technical problems and communicate solutions clearly.
• Passion for continuous learning and customer engagement.
• Willingness to travel within EMEA for on‑site activities.
