Senior/Lead Backend Engineer – Remote

About the role

Fuse Energy is building a next‑generation renewable energy platform and needs a senior backend engineer to design and deliver the core digital infrastructure. You will work closely with product teams to create highly‑available services that power real‑time energy twins, consumer apps, and high‑volume data pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a real‑time digital twin of renewable generation and customer demand.
• Develop messaging interfaces with third‑party providers.
• Build high‑throughput pipelines for processing customer energy consumption data.
• Create and maintain the backend for a world‑class energy application.
• Adapt quickly to evolving business needs and take ownership of end‑to‑end projects.

Required profile

• Demonstrable excellence as a software engineer.
• At least 2 years of professional experience.
• Proven ability to define and build complex, highly‑available systems.
• Hands‑on experience shipping production‑grade backend services.
• Clear and effective communication skills.

Required skills

• AWS CDK (infrastructure as code)
