Simulation HMI Software Architect – Eurofighter Training Simulators

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a Simulation HMI Software Architect to lead the design of Human‑Machine Interface (HMI) systems for Eurofighter training simulators. You will work on instructor operating stations that control, monitor, and debrief training sessions, collaborating closely with system and software engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Capture and translate customer needs into clear system specifications and acceptance criteria.
• Define the overall simulation and software architecture in partnership with transversal and project‑specific teams.
• Prepare and conduct design reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support development, integration, verification, validation, acceptance and certification activities.
• Perform risk‑management activities, identifying and resolving issues early.
• Ensure high‑quality product delivery on time, within budget, and according to customer expectations.
• Monitor progress, evaluate challenges, and report status and feedback to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Aeronautical Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience across the full system‑engineering lifecycle of simulation projects, preferably in military flight‑training devices.
• Strong understanding of HMI concepts and simulation software architecture.
