Social Media Manager (German Speaking)

About the role

We are seeking a German‑speaking Social Media Manager to join our Berlin team. Working primarily within the 1000heads Community team, you will collaborate with specialists in insights, strategy, creative and client services to build and nurture vibrant online communities for leading brands.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day community activity across platforms (moderation, publishing, engagement).
• Create and adapt platform‑native copy in German and English.
• Stimulate conversations, build relationships and sustain audience engagement.
• Execute editorial calendars and support multi‑channel campaign rollouts.
• Monitor trends, flag issues and ensure brand tone of voice is maintained.
• Support real‑time social moments, including live event coverage.
• Collaborate with the Relationships team on influencer identification, outreach and campaign coordination where community and influencer work intersect.
• Track performance, contribute to reporting and provide actionable insights.

Required profile

• 2‑4+ years of experience in community management or social media (agency experience preferred).
• Fluent written and spoken German and English.
• Strong copywriting ability with the capacity to adjust tone for different platforms.
• Deep understanding of major social platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, X and YouTube.
