Software Test Engineer

About the role

Our client, a leading European space and aerospace technology group, is expanding its engineering team to support software verification and satellite ground‑system activities. The Software Test Engineer will work on cutting‑edge satellite programs, ensuring that both front‑end and back‑end software meet the highest reliability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse software requirements for testability and define verification strategies.
• Develop, execute and maintain manual and automated test procedures and scripts.
• Perform software verification and validation activities across the system lifecycle.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to testing and verification.
• Generate test statistics, quality metrics and report progress to project managers.
• Support continuous improvement of testing processes, tools and technologies.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a comparable field.
• Proven experience in software testing and verification environments.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and ITIL processes.
• Strong communication, teamwork and autonomous working style.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for test campaigns.
• Fluency in German (required) and good English skills.
