Tax Consultant

About the role

We are looking for a Tax Consultant to join our Frankfurt office and support an international portfolio of e‑commerce and corporate clients. You will specialise in VAT compliance and advisory, helping clients navigate EU tax regulations while working in a hybrid, multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and advise clients on VAT obligations and optimisation strategies across Europe.
• Prepare and submit European VAT returns, OSS reports, intra‑Community sales statements and Intrastat filings on schedule.
• Communicate with tax authorities, support audits and respond to inquiries.
• Monitor deadlines, support payment processes and collaborate with the credit control team.
• Track legislative changes, implement updates, and contribute to internal process improvements.
• Train and mentor junior team members and represent the firm at webinars and client events.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in tax, finance, accounting or law, preferably with a VAT focus.
• Native‑level German and strong written and spoken English.
• Structured, reliable work style and ability to handle complex tasks under pressure.
• Interest or experience in international e‑commerce and online retail.
• Knowledge of EU tax law and reporting obligations such as OSS, VAT ID and Intrastat.
