Team Lead Operations (Temporary)

About the role

Swappie is looking for a hands‑on Team Lead to steer its Leipzig Operations through a high‑volume peak season. This temporary position, running until the end of June 2027, offers the chance to shape the new fulfillment strategy while contributing to the company’s mission of making refurbished electronics mainstream.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise a team of warehouse staff in light‑goods handling within a modern facility.
• Set and monitor shift and team targets, allocate staff efficiently, and resolve bottlenecks.
• Conduct monthly performance reviews, onboard new members, and drive continuous development.
• Maintain operational excellence by participating in improvement projects and ensuring daily floor presence.
• Ensure compliance with working times, safety standards (e.g., 6S), and report key results to management.
• Collaborate with planning teams to prepare for peak periods and compliance audits.
• Address team feedback, resolve conflicts, and foster a positive work environment.

Required profile

• Proven leadership or mentoring experience, preferably in a warehouse setting.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail, and a safety‑first mindset.
• Ability to take ownership and make independent decisions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English; functional German for daily operations.

Required skills

• Knowledge of 6S safety and lean methodology.
