TouchDesigner Developer – Interactive Software Engineer

About the role

WHITEvoid is seeking a TouchDesigner Developer to create and maintain real‑time control software for its KINETIC LIGHTS event automation system. You will work in a multidisciplinary studio in Berlin, turning creative concepts into interactive installations for clubs, exhibitions and large‑scale events worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain TouchDesigner‑based control software, adapting it to new technologies and client requests.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, creative directors and other specialists to integrate software with kinetic lighting hardware.
• Set up and operate installations on‑site, both nationally and internationally.
• Manage software versions using Git and produce technical documentation.
• Contribute original ideas and technical solutions throughout the development process.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with TouchDesigner 099 and a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in Python or a similar scripting language; object‑oriented programming knowledge is a plus.
• Basic understanding of TouchDesigner’s 3D, POP and SOP workflows and of GLSL shaders.
• Experience with interactive, electromechanical projects and familiarity with sensors, actors and communication protocols.
• Creative mindset, strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to balance artistic vision with technical feasibility.
• Excellent command of English and a motivated, hands‑on attitude.
