Trade & Working Capital Associate

About the role

Join Santander Corporate & Investment Banking in Frankfurt as a Trade & Working Capital Associate. You will support the Trade & Working Capital team in originating and structuring solutions for large corporate clients across Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Nordic region.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and execute transactions, coordinating internal approval committees and liaising with Banking, Private Debt Mobilisation, Operations, Legal, Product, Working Capital Advisory, Compliance and IT.
• Support senior team members in identifying opportunities, originating transactions and delivering client presentations.
• Perform financial and strategic business analysis to assess client needs.
• Ensure adherence to internal processes and governance for transparent sales activity.
• Gather market intelligence and advise clients on Trade and Working Capital solutions.
• Assist in managing the existing portfolio, enhancing profitability and revenue.
• Contribute to external advocacy to strengthen Santander’s brand and thought leadership.

Required profile

• Strong interest in corporate banking and trade finance.
• Proactive, responsible approach to risk management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple internal stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and presentation skills.
