VIE – Digital Configuration & Performance (m/f/d)

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is seeking a motivated graduate for a 24‑month VIE position in Digital Configuration & Performance. Based at the Donauwörth site, you will support the Configuration Management team by driving digital and automation initiatives that improve process efficiency across helicopter programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute AI‑driven and smart‑automation projects, including data‑engineering, chatbot creation, checks and Robotic Process Automation.
• Support Lean initiatives and continuous‑improvement activities within configuration management.
• Design, develop and implement innovative solutions to harmonise and simplify configuration processes across programmes.
• Prepare data for Key Performance Indicator reviews and contribute to the Company Excellence System documentation.
• Create training material, communication kits and presentations, and help organise events such as Configuration Management Day.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
• Highly motivated graduate, aged 18‑28, and a citizen of an EU country (including Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein).
• Strong analytical mindset and willingness to work in an international, cross‑functional environment.
