Working Student / Intern Software Engineer (Frontend & Backend)

About the role

Join ilert’s engineering team as a Working Student or Intern and help build the SaaS platform that powers incident management for thousands of DevOps teams worldwide. You will work on both frontend and backend components, gaining hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced, production‑grade environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop end‑to‑end user features using React and TypeScript, or the supporting backend APIs.
• Design and implement robust APIs and data pipelines with Java, Rust and related technologies.
• Contribute to the modular UI component library, ensuring performance, accessibility and reliability.
• Work on a variety of projects such as alerting logic, integrations (Slack, MS Teams, Jira) and AI‑powered SRE features.
• Write automated tests and maintain clean, maintainable code in a zero‑downtime platform.

Required profile

• Current student in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience with at least one part of the stack (React/TypeScript or a backend language).
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms and web‑application fundamentals.
• Passion for clean code, learning at scale and building production software.
• Fluent English communication skills.
