Working Student – Software Engineering & AI

About the role

Join alago’s fast‑growing team as a Working Student in Software Engineering & AI. You will help build a platform that eliminates manual data entry in the construction industry by connecting tools, processing project data, and automating workflows with AI.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the core development team on real product features.
• Design, test, deploy, and maintain backend or frontend components of the alago platform.
• Use cutting‑edge developer tools such as Cursor and Claude Code to accelerate development.
• Contribute ideas to improve performance, usability, and overall user experience.
• Support quality assurance, customer onboarding, and deployment activities.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a Master’s program in Informatics, Computer Science, Business Informatics or a related field.
• C1 fluency in German to work with construction‑industry terminology.
• Hands‑on experience building web‑based front‑end solutions with JavaScript and React.
• Familiarity with Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) systems and basic prompting techniques.
• Strong interest in AI/ML and a willingness to learn.
• Available for at least six months.
