Working Student – Software Engineering (TypeScript, NestJS/React)

About the role

OneTutor, an AI‑powered tutoring platform spun off from the Technical University of Munich, is looking for a motivated working student to join its small, close‑knit engineering team in Munich. You will work directly with the founders, contribute code that reaches tens of thousands of learners, and enjoy a flexible schedule that fits around your studies.

Key responsibilities

• Support product and engineering tasks across the full stack.
• Own small, well‑scoped projects in either backend (NestJS/TypeScript) or frontend (React/TypeScript).
• Build and extend APIs, model data, and integrate services.
• Craft React components and improve the learner and instructor experience.
• Collaborate with product peers on design, testing, and feature development.
• Participate in code reviews and occasional pair‑programming sessions.
• Contribute 15–20 hours per week, arranged flexibly around your university schedule.

Required profile

• Master’s (or advanced Bachelor’s) student in Computer Science, Informatics or a related field, enrolled at a Munich university.
• Strong interest in applying academic knowledge to a real product environment.
• Good communication skills in English or German and a collaborative mindset.
