Buyer – Research & Technologies Procurement

About the role

Join a leading aerospace partner in Hamburg to drive procurement for cutting‑edge Research & Technologies projects. As a Buyer you will shape sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts and ensure a robust supply chain for innovative mechanical system installations and interior solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with Airbus R&T, engineering and program teams to define procurement strategies for MSI & Interiors projects.
• Run tenders, RFIs and RFPs, conduct negotiations, manage contract templates and oversee contract execution.
• Source and screen new suppliers, negotiate Cooperation and Research Agreements, and secure IP rights.
• Integrate market intelligence, supplier performance and risk assessments into sourcing decisions.
• Maintain professional relationships with major aeronautical suppliers while upholding ethics and compliance.
• Collaborate with international partners to accelerate innovation for Airbus customers.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or a comparable field.
• At least 3 years of procurement experience.
• Minimum 2 years in project and contract management.
• One year of customer‑service experience.
• Strong process and risk‑management knowledge.
• Fluent English (negotiation level); German and French are a plus.
• Willingness to travel within Europe several times a year.
