Desktop Support Specialist – On‑Demand Freelance (Kassel)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Desktop Support Specialist / EUC Support Engineer to provide on‑site IT coverage in Kassel, Germany. This on‑demand position acts as a back‑fill resource, stepping in when the primary engineer is unavailable.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver on‑site desktop, laptop, printer, mobile device and peripheral support.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, OS and application issues.
• Perform device installations, configurations, upgrades, migrations and replacements.
• Manage user accounts, permissions and access via Active Directory.
• Support endpoint management tools and device administration activities.
• Resolve incidents and service requests within agreed SLAs.
• Coordinate with remote support teams, vendors and business stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate ticket updates, asset records and technical documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in enterprise or corporate IT support environments.
• Strong communication and customer‑facing skills.
• Ability to work independently on on‑site assignments.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Remedy or Jira.
