Lead Teacher

About the role

BrightPath Kids is seeking a Lead Teacher to join its West Loop classroom. You will work closely with fellow teachers and families to create a nurturing, home‑like environment for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years, following NAEYC standards.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure safety and supervision of children in the assigned classroom.
• Develop and deliver developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with NAEYC guidelines.
• Design programs and activities that reflect children’s interests and learning styles.
• Maintain a clean, warm, and safe environment that encourages exploration.
• Partner with families to create individualized care and education plans.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about each child’s progress.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in a licensed child‑care setting (preferred).
• Strong customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work within regular operating hours.
• Meet state criteria for child‑care employment.
